Role Overview We have an exciting opportunity to augment the skill set we have in the business with a part-time Digital Campaign Manager to focus on effective implementation of paid search and display campaigns primarily through Google AdWords. Whilst Google ad products will be the focus, as part of small and agile team we expect you to be able to turn your hand to assisting with delivery across multiple channels. You will have a passion for all things digital and have an analytical and strategic mind-set that will enable you to connect the digital dots to deliver high performing integrated campaigns.
The perfect candidate will have experience working in agency or digital activation team already, driving performance through granular, hands-on PPC and display campaign management ideally working with smaller business that need to make relatively modest budgets have a big impact. We work directly with business owners and therefore need to be accountable for every penny we spend to ensure we are maximising tangible ROI at every opportunity.
The role is currently three days per week and would suit someone looking to escape frenetic big agency life or return to work after maternity/paternity leave and become a founding part of the success of a young business that is growing fast. This is initially a one-year contract, with the potential to convert to a permanent role and additional days by mutual agreement.
Plan and manage day-to-day delivery of Paid Search/Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns, including but not limited to: strategy development, account setup, keywords selection and expansion, audience segmentations, negative keyword governance, website and category exclusions, ad creative (including writing and testing ad copy and ad extensions), landing page revisions with minimal to no supervision necessary
Plan and manage strategy as well as day-to-day delivery of display advertising campaigns, including placement, interest and keyword targeting strategies as well as creating remarketing campaigns and advising in landing page content and conversion performance, again with minimal to no supervision
Act as primary point of digital contact for clients and is responsive to all client requests and enquiries relating to digital strategy
Manage client facing day-to-day communication for all things digital, including advising best practices & building channel specific presentations
Responsible for daily management of campaign budgets, on-site conversion actions and bid optimisation, including operational success of accounts and ensuring deliverables are on time and on budget
In-depth understanding of Paid Search and display campaign management and optimisation practices
Analyse ongoing results to identify campaign trends and key insights to help meet and exceed client goals
Attend new business meetings and lead client meetings on strategy & performance as the digital expert
Continuously recommend ideas/strategies/tactics and formulate campaign optimisation methods with the team
You will ideally hold a Google AdWords accreditation for both search and display
You will have a good working knowledge of Google Analytics
Demonstrate intellectual curiosity through innovation in digital paid media
A self-starter that is able to work autonomously while simultaneously collaborating effectively within a team that includes members in multiple locations and management of freelancers and partner agencies
Experience optimising display and paid search to a performance goal, with an understanding of bidding algorithms, bid modifiers, ad copy creation and testing, and budget allocation
Proven ability to analyse key metrics, identify optimisation opportunities, and explain how the metrics interact
The ability to install tracking code into websites and landing pages, as well as the ability to work across multiple CMS’s would be highly desirable
Build trust and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors and partner agencies
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, drive hard to completion, and deliver effective results
Use your personal passion and creativity to help develop intelligent, innovative and effective ideas and process improvements for your projects/tasks
Analytical mind-set, with the ability to identify trends and insights through data analysis
Good organisational skills and high attention to detail, with an understanding of optimisation levers & testing approaches across biddable platforms
A working knowledge of email deployment tools and CRM systems is desirable but not essential
